Randy Bachman Coming Home to Perform at Centrallia

Press Release

Legendary rock n’ roll icon to help conference “take care of business.”

Winnipeg – Centrallia, Winnipeg’s international business to business forum that will take place October 20-22, 2010, is proud to announce the homecoming of Randy Bachman to perform during Centrallia’s Gala Dinner on Thursday, October 21st.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Bachman is often referred to as the “architect of Canadian rock n’ roll” for his celebrated success as a guitarist, songwriter, performer and producer. Best known for his work fronting two legendary rock groups, The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Bachman’s music has provided a veritable soundtrack of the last thirty years of music; his hit songs include These Eyes, American Woman, Roll on Down the Highway, You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet and Takin’ Care of Business.

“Given that Centrallia is the official business event of Manitoba Homecoming 2010, we can’t think of a better performer than Mr. Bachman to come home and help us welcome our international business guests during this important conference,” said Mariette Mulaire, Executive Director of ANIM, the leading organizer of Centrallia. “In some ways his music has become one of Winnipeg’s best known international exports.”

The Centrallia conference will see more than 500 small to medium sized businesses from around the world gather in Winnipeg to explore business opportunities with each other. The forum presents a golden opportunity for Manitoba business people to promote their city and province worldwide and establish business relationships that can grow our local economy.
